FURNITURE CARE
Rubberwood furniture care guide
Dust rubberwood regularly, blot spills promptly and dry after any damp wiping. Use coasters and mats and avoid harsh chemicals, heat and prolonged moisture.
Everyday care
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. For routine cleaning, use a well-wrung damp cloth, then dry the surface immediately in the direction of the grain.
Spills and stains
Blot spills promptly rather than rubbing. Remove standing moisture at once, especially around joins, edges and unsealed areas.
Protecting the surface
Use coasters, placemats and heat-resistant mats. Fit felt pads beneath accessories and allow air to circulate around the furniture.
What to avoid
Avoid soaking, steam cleaning, abrasive pads, silicone spray polish and harsh household chemicals. Do not place hot or wet items directly on the surface.
Material characteristics
Rubberwood can vary in colour and grain. Its applied finish determines whether any polish is suitable.
Additional care
Always follow any manufacturer-specific instructions supplied with the product where they differ from this general guidance. If in doubt, stop and seek advice from the manufacturer or a suitable furniture-care specialist.
