Dust pine regularly and blot spills straight away. Use a well-wrung cloth only when needed, dry thoroughly and protect the softer surface from heat, dents and scratches.
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. For routine cleaning, use a well-wrung damp cloth, then dry the surface immediately in the direction of the grain.
Blot spills promptly rather than rubbing. Remove standing moisture at once, especially around joins, edges and unsealed areas.
Use coasters, placemats and heat-resistant mats. Fit felt pads beneath accessories and allow air to circulate around the furniture.
Avoid soaking, steam cleaning, abrasive pads, silicone spray polish and harsh household chemicals. Do not place hot or wet items directly on the surface.
Pine is comparatively soft and may develop dents, colour change and small movement through normal use.
Always follow any manufacturer-specific instructions supplied with the product where they differ from this general guidance. If in doubt, stop and seek advice from the manufacturer or a suitable furniture-care specialist.
