Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth, following the grain and taking care around textured or uneven areas. Use only a lightly damp cloth when needed and dry at once.
Blot liquid immediately with a clean absorbent cloth. Do not scrub natural marks, repairs, nail holes or textured areas.
Use coasters, placemats and felt pads. Keep the furniture away from sustained heat, damp and strong direct sunlight.
Avoid bleach, solvent cleaners, abrasive products, steam and furniture polish unless the manufacturer specifically approves it.
Old nail holes, repairs, tonal variation, texture and historic marks are inherent characteristics rather than uniform defects.
Always follow any manufacturer-specific instructions supplied with the product where they differ from this general guidance. If in doubt, stop and seek advice from the manufacturer or a suitable furniture-care specialist.
