Dana sits in our Signature collection of luxury garden furniture. Our in-house designers were keen to create a mid-century Danish classic design using the king of the timbers Teak, which would proudly showcase elite joinery and workmanship. Teak furniture is often proudly bold and chunky. Yet the desire for our Dana range was to create furniture which would still benefit from the unrivalled qualities of teak, but with a far more elegant appearance. The Dana seat pad on the dining chairs, is woven from a natural coloured Teslin cord. With reference to traditional paper-cord weaving seen on Danish classics, the weatherproof cord offsets the Teak, giving the chair harmony and balance.
Care & maintenance
If left untreated Roble will mellow to a beautiful silver/ grey appearance. The Colour Protector will keep it close to Roble?s original colour and add a soft gloss. Another option to enhance the natural appearance of Roble is to use our Timber Treatment followed by the Sealer; this will give the wood a darker and richer appearance. Black spotting can occur through tannic acid which is present in the timber or by natural airborne spores. Should this happen to your furniture which is not unusual, it will not affect the strength or durability of the wood. This can easily be removed by applying a mould remover such as Dettol or Cillit Bang. Cushions are made from 100% Olefin. These can be cleaned using warm soapy water and a cloth.
