Pine Beds

Found 12 Items

You’ll find pine beds in many bedrooms in Britain, and there’s a good reason for that. They’re reliable, simple and strong. Not the sort of bed that demands attention, but one that quietly does what it’s meant to, day in and day out. Pine is a softwood, but when the job’s been done properly, Pine furniture is sturdy enough to last you a good number of years, no fuss. It’s not about show; it’s about something solid that fits well in the room and just works.

It helps that pine itself has that natural, familiar look. You can see the grain clearly, feel the smoothness of it, the occasional knot here and there reminding you it’s real wood, not something artificial. Whether it’s for a spare room, your child’s first bed, or the main bedroom where you want something straightforward but long-lasting, a pine bed is the kind of choice that never feels out of place. We’ve got plenty in stock: singles, doubles, even trundles, each one made to do the job without unnecessary frills.

Types of Finishes in Pine Beds

Different people prefer different finishes, and pine works well with all types of interiors. You might want something polished and neat, or you might prefer something a little rougher around the edges, more lived-in. Either way, there’s something in our collection.

Waxed Pine Bed

A waxed pine bed keeps things classic. The wax does two things: it brings out the natural grain of the wood, giving it a soft sheen, and it adds a bit of protection, too. Marks and scratches from daily use won’t show up as much. It’s the sort of bed that doesn’t shout for attention but still has a warmth to it, smooth to the touch, easy to keep clean, and tidy-looking without trying too hard.

Grey-Washed Pine Bed

Now, if you’re after something that leans a bit more modern, the grey-washed finish is worth a look. This finish softens the natural yellow tones of pine, giving it a more neutral feel. You can still see the grain, of course, but the wash gives it that weathered, worn-in look. Works nicely in rooms with softer colour schemes, greys, creams, and light woods.

Antique Pine Bed

For anyone who prefers furniture that looks like it’s been around a while, an antique pine bed hits the mark. These aren’t polished to perfection. Instead, they’re finished to highlight the wood’s age; those small dents, scuffs, and marks are left in place, adding character rather than covering it up. Perfect if you’ve got a room with a bit of history or just like furniture that looks like it’s been used, not fresh out of the box.

Reclaimed Pine Bed

Reclaimed pine beds are something else entirely. The wood has already had a life elsewhere in places like old buildings and railroads. That means every bed’s slightly different. No two pieces are identical. You’ll see marks, scratches, variations in colour, all part of its story. And the good thing is, you’re giving the wood a new life rather than letting it go to waste. Strong, full of character, and practical all at once.

Different Styles of Pine Beds

Not every bedroom is the same, and not everyone wants the same style of bed. That’s why pine beds come in a few different designs, each with its own purpose, depending on how much space you’ve got and how you like your room to feel.

Slatted Pine Beds

The slatted bed keeps things simple. It has vertical or horizontal slats making up the headboard and footboard, giving the bed a bit of structure without overdoing it. It’s a straightforward style, fits well whether your room’s modern or more traditional. Nothing complicated, just solid wood put together well.

High Foot-End Pine Beds

Some people like their bed to feel a bit more enclosed. That’s where a high foot-end bed comes in. The taller footboard gives it a bit more presence, making the bed feel like its own space within the room. Works nicely if you've got a bit more space to play with and don’t mind the bed taking up some visual room.

Low Foot-End Pine Beds

On the other hand, if you’re after something lighter and less bulky, a low foot-end bed does the trick. It keeps things open. The footboard sits lower, which means the bed doesn’t block off space in the room. Handy if you’re working with a smaller bedroom or just prefer sitting at the foot of the bed.

Trundle Pine Beds

Trundle beds are one of those clever bits of furniture that don’t get enough credit. They’re brilliant if you’ve got guests coming over now and then or if the bed’s going in a child’s room where friends might be staying over. The pull-out bed sits neatly underneath and can be accessed when you need it. Tidy, space-saving, and useful without taking up any more room day to day.

Other Pine Bedroom Furniture

Of course, a pine bed’s only part of the story. If you want to tie the room together properly, you’ll probably want a few matching pieces alongside it. We stock plenty of solid pine furniture, all built to the same standards.

Pine Bedside Cabinet

A pine bedside cabinet is one of those bits you might not think much about until you don’t have one. Somewhere to keep a lamp, your book, maybe your glasses, all within reach. Ours are made from solid pine, so they match the bed perfectly. Drawers or shelves are included, depending on what you need to tuck away.

Pine Dressing Table

Everyone needs a proper spot to get ready in the morning, and a pine dressing table gives you just that. Strong, sturdy, not flimsy like MDF ones you find at many high street stores. There are usually a few drawers underneath to keep brushes, bits, and pieces tucked away out of sight.

Pine Bedroom Mirrors

A mirror’s always handy, whether it’s wall-mounted or placed on a dressing table. Framed in pine, it fits right in with the rest of the furniture. Adds light, makes the room feel bigger, and of course, is useful for day-to-day.

Pine Bedroom Stool

Pair your dressing table with a solid pine stool. These stools tuck away neatly under the table when you’re not using them, and don’t take up much space.

Pine Chest of Drawers

Everyone needs extra storage. A pine chest of drawers is the sort of no-nonsense furniture you can rely on. Whether it’s for clothes, bedding, or just bits that need putting somewhere, they’re strong, well-built, and come in different sizes depending on how much space you’ve got to fill.

Pine Wardrobe

Solid Pine Wardrobes have enough room for hanging clothes, shelves, and anything else that needs tucking away. Keeps everything looking neat and keeps the natural look of the bedroom consistent.
